Cows Unite!

Recently my friend Jennifer tipped me off to CowsUnite.org. Normally I don't' drink milk because I can't tolerate it; however I'm all about making sure my son, hubby and others have access to fresh milk.

Anyway, so this site it all about helping humans understand the importance of organic dairy, decent treatment for cows and the critical role of family farmers. Some examples of how they do this is thru Organic Pastures and the eradication of Synthetic Hormones.

The site is SO cute. You have to check it out with sound on! You can sign up to spread the word about protecting cows and their livelihood. They have their own "Bovine Bill of Rights" and Cow Manifesto. These bovines are set to take on the world. All in the name or Organic Milk.

I personally did buy organic milk for the first time yesterday. I can say the largest difference is Organic milk doesn't have a long sell by date like most milk I might buy. Instead, due to its freshness its won't last up to 3 weeks like most non-organic milk.
If you have a family that goes thru milk like crazy, this shouldn't be an issue, but just keep it in mind if you are thinking all milk is the same.

Tucker is Adopted!

Tucker our first foster for the Seattle Pug Rescue is officially in adopted status now!
He is very happy now living in his new digs up in Shoreline area!
What a lucky dog to have been adopted finally after months of waiting for someone to love him & give him a forever home.

While puppies are great--puppies grow up. Please consider helping out a local rescue or shelter for your forever friend.
You have never meet more loving animals who want to love you so badly like Tucker.
With an open heart and a little patience you might find a forever friend while providing a forever home...

Puggies in the Car

Because I didn't show off my babies (my furry 4-legged babies) in their new car/bike trailer, I just had to! Especially when Beth requested them because I'm all about pleasing fellow bloggers!!

My new Foster Pug

This is Spike.

Spike is my latest foster from the Seattle Pug Rescue and he is the biggest sweetie pie you'll ever meet!!!

He is blind and one of his eyes does need to be removed from a previous injury that was never fixed, but he gets around really well even blind. That is why his one eye is sticking out a bit more then the other.

He loves other pugs and he's a cuddler too!

He is small for a male pug, they estimate he's about 8 yrs old, but his age is hard to tell since he's so spritly!


Spike is available thru the Seattle Pug Rescue. Please consider adopting him and making him a part of your home.

Proof of my green

Here are a few shots of around my house where I have gone green. Here is my water catcher, which I got for free from Craigslist. All we had to buy was a downspout for the gutter so it would drain @ that angle. Yes I did use this other day to rinse out my craft project. I probably wouldn't recommending drinking this as it has come thru my DIRTY gutters, but for watering and rinsing things that you won't be using to drink/eat out of--it works great!

here is my low flow shower head. It is called The Head which is the brand name of it. It took some getting used too but since I have short hair now its not that terrible!
