Welcome New Readers! (or I hope you keep Reading!!)

I'm sure that some of you have stumbled across my blog from the recent link posted in the News Tribune and the Puyallup Herald! Welcome!

I probably should better explain exactly what I do on this blog, who I am, what I am setting out to do and why I bother....

Well first off I want to say, I'm not the best writer in the world. For a long time when I first started this blog I spelled environmentalism wrong for about 6+ months. I would guess you probably don't want to take advice from someone who can't spell the words about what I'm trying to preach! Totally respect that.
I'm better at using spell check now.
But in all seriousness, I write this blog because I think Christians are either unaware or just don't see it as their responsibility to care for all that God has given us. That includes his precious creation-- Man.
While I'm not perfect in the LEAST when it comes to some of the things I preach about, I do know that I want to share that this truly is easy to do. This being Living a more aware lifestyle to how we treat the Earth and the things in it.

I'm not a very educated person in this stuff by any means. I avoid talking about things like Global Warming or air quality because I just don't know enough about it and when I DO read things about it I start to glaze over. I think we could all stand to be more environmentally aware of more simple things like recycling or conserving or just plain caring rather then reading huge books about Polar Bears dying because the polar ice Cap is melting so rapidly. (Mind you, I like Polar bears I really do)

So I try to keep it simple because its just easier that way and its less likely I'll make a fool out of myself by saying something that sounds like I'm a complete idiot.

If you are reading this thinking, "ah well she's one of those religious fanatics" just know I do write some about God, but I'm not like that at all. Just ask my other non-green friends if I'm one of those bible bashers and you'd be pleasantly surprised. I keep it simple even when it comes to my preaching. No sense in shoving God down your throat when you care barely stomach having to separate your recycling!!
But don't say I didn't warn you that I would talk about God! ;)

I like comments and I wish I had more readers that left them. I know I get people who read my stuff, but as you can clearly see I have few followers at this time. So feel free to leave a comment! And if you are feeling REALLY inspired then follow me on Blogger! Mostly I just want to know what you want to read more about when it comes to the cliche term of Green Living.

So with that, I welcome you.
I welcome you to my little Green world.
Remember God is Green too.

Thanks!

Marcie, I'm one of your new readers, thanks to the article in The News Tribune. I started reading your blog after reading it and I went as far back as when you just got your chickens...I'm sure I'll work my way back to the begining in the next week or so.

After reading the first three entries, I added you to my favorites, so I'll be keeping up with you.

I have to say that I think that you're doing great. We all want to do something to help, and be guardians of this "Eden", and I really think that a lot of people haven't connected environmentalism with God's purpose of man as the guardian/caretaker of this creation.

I'm not a very religious person, but I don't find you to be overly "preachy"...just doing what you know needs to be done. Thank you for that.

Sincerely, Jackie Wilcox
